2.1 It is all right for me to make copies of out of print recordings?

While it is unfortunate that some of moe.'s official releases are out of print and no longer available, they are still copyrighted by the band. While there are no plans to re-release any of the out of print material they remain intellectual property of the band and are not public domain.

2.2 How can I get into 18+ or 21+ shows?

moe. tries to play as many all ages shows as possible, but it is not always possible. When moe. does play venues with age restrictions, the only way to get into the show is to be that age. It is the band's hope that the fans will respect the rules set up by the club. They do not condone fake I.D.'s, sneaking in, rubbing the stamp, etc. which could damage the band's relationship with that particular venue.

With moe.'s rising popularity this topic does not apply as much as it once did, however, it may, from time to time, still arise. All ages shows are the norm at this time.

2.3 Don't you think it's time for a NEWSGROUP?

Periodically the discussion to move to a newsgroup from the MOE-L comes up. Generally, the consensus on the list has been to maintain itself as an e-mail list. Many feel that a newsgroup environment would open the list up and make it more prone to spamming. Others enjoy the close-knit community a e-mail list can provide. Many good e-mail programs have filters which would enable you to drop MOE-L mail into a separate folder, preventing inbox clogging.

2.4 "moe. sucks" / "Phish sucks" posts.

Posts such as these fall into the category of "flame-bait". There of fans of both bands (as well as many, many other bands) on this list. The flame wars that can start due to such posts are best stopped by ignoring them. There is plenty of good moe. related content on the list.

2.5 Why would you spell it "Ph*sh"?

This started as a joke about the flame wars that had begun on the list because of the above mentioned topics. The use has become pretty widespread on the list. It is not intended to be derogatory.

2.6 Why does it take so long for dates to be posted at moe.org?

Sometimes venues and ticker services may have dates posted before they are up on moe.org.
